Bio: Melissa was born and raised in a small town called Derry, Pennsylvania (southeast of Pittsburgh) and began her performing career at age 14 as Ellie Greenwich in the musical "Leader of the Pack". She graduated from Coastal Carolina University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts. Having worked professionally for the last 15 years, Melissa has an extensive background in print and commercial work. In her most recent feature film role, Melissa plays sorority sister Sarah in a remake of the 1983 horror classic "The House on Sorority Row", titled "Sorority Row" and produced by Summit Entertainment. The film was directed by Stewart Hendler. It appeared in theaters in October of 2009. The film will be released on DVD in 2010. She also recently filmed a regional McDonald’s commercial which aired in the midwest. In 2007, as the exclusive spokesperson for Toyota of Wilmington, Melissa appeared in more than 30 commercials. Melissa was also cast as Kirsten in the Warner Brothers TV pilot "Family Juleps," with Alyssa Milano and David Sutcliffe. Additionally, she shot a national commercial for Xyience with Ultimate Fighter Champion Rich Franklin, which aired on Spike TV. As well as her print and commercial work, Melissa is credited for starring in numerous independent films including; "I Do", "Butchered", "Ranger Rob", "Division One-Twenty Three", "Fourth and Long" and "White Men Can’t Dance". Furthermore, Melissa is a very talented artist whose art has been displayed in regional art galleries along the east coast. She paints contemporary abstract works and some of her most recent work will soon be displayed in Los Angeles area galleries. She donates a portion of her proceeds to a non-profit organization dedicated to cat rescue. Melissa is represented by the BBR Talent Agency (Commercial and Print).
